Partying safely on a night out

When it’s time to hit the clubs on a night out, there are many things that can go wrong. A creepy guy can approach you at a bar, your friend gets way too drunk or maybe you just find the bar you are at to be super dodgy. This is why it’s important to prepare yourself for these kinds of situations. So here are a couple of ways on how you can party safely when you go out.

Always go in groups

Going out by yourself isn’t always the safest option, especially if you want to go all out. This is why it’s important to go with a group of trusted friends. This way you can all look out for each other. Making sure that your bestie doesn’t go home with a stranger at 2 am or having a friend come rescue you from a conversation with a guy that doesn’t take “no” for an answer.

Designate a sober party person

In your party group, you should also make sure that you have a designated sober driver or sober chauffeur. Having a sober person means there will be someone looking out for you and the rest of the group.

Pack the essentials

When you’re partying on the dance floor, you probably don’t want to carry around a giant hand bag. However, there are certain essentials that you should make sure to take with you. These include your fully charged phone, house keys, ID, cash and an extra pair of flats if you’re going to be wearing high heels. You never know what can happen, so always be prepared.

Look out for dodgy guys

At a club or party, there will always be that one guy with the creepy pickup lines and comments that border on sexual harassment. If you want to get away from this kind of situation, call over a friend to whisk you away. However, If it gets to a point where this isn’t helping, speak to a bartender or bouncer about how uncomfortable they are making you feel. Chances are they will be willing to help you out.

Keep your drink close at hand

When you’re dancing in a crowded place it can be difficult to keep an eye on your drink. This is why it’s so important to keep your drink on hand because you never know if someone is looking to spike it. So if no one is at the table looking out for your stuff, take your drink with you to the dance floor. This way you’ll know where your drink has been and be able to keep it safe.

We all need times when we can go out and have fun with our friends. So when you want to go to a club or a house party, follow these tips to help keep you and your friends safe.
