Freebuds 3i From Huawei

The most likeable aspect of the new Freebuds 3i from Huawei is that it is very comfortable and easy to use. Even better, I liked the fact that it offers excellent active noise-cancelling and isolation. It also comes with nifty gesture controls and offers excellent value for money. If you are looking for an affordable pair of excellent quality wireless earphones, then this is for you.

Nice Features

The new Freebuds 3i from Huawei comes with Bluetooth 5 and support for Bluetooth codecs AAC and SBC. It has three microphones and a battery capacity of 37mAh/earbud. For charging, Huawei offers a 410mAh charging case, and the battery life of the earphones is expected to last for up to three and a half hours of playback. If you use the earphones with the charging case, the battery life rises to an enticing fourteen and a half hours.

The Freebuds 3i from Huawei is an extension and improvement over the earlier Freebuds 3 earphones. The nice thing about this new offering is its superior-high-quality noise isolation. Inspired by the Airpods from Apple, they are strikingly similar to the looks and features of Apple’s Airpods.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The Freebuds 3i can be paired with any Bluetooth device for optimum performance; it is recommended that you pair them with a Huawei device that runs EMUI 10 or later. Not only will the connection be quicker, but also the earphones will be detected with much more ease.

Gesture Controls

Another feature that I find especially appealing about the Freebuds 3i is its gesture control. You can control the earbuds with either a double-tap or tap and hold. When you use the earphones with an app like the Huawei AI life, it is possible to assign double-tap gestures to connect with the playback controls. Even though AI Life from Huawei works with any Android device, it won’t work with iOS. If you want to use the earphones with an Apple iPhone, you can, but without being able to use gesture controls.

Good Sound

These earphones also sound as good as they look. Even though I am not an audiophile, I still loved the sound produced by the Freebuds 3i. However, these earphones, though they produce decent sounds, are not the most exciting. Given their price, they are good value for money. I would readily recommend them for their sound quality.

Acceptable Noise Cancelling

The noise-cancelling ability of the Freebuds 3i is good without being excellent. Most of the ambient noises will be cut out to make it easy for you to enjoy whatever you are listening to. These earphones can easily eliminate the sound of a car engine or the sound inside an aeroplane. However, the earphones do struggle to cut out noise in a café. What I would say about these earphones is they work best when used in ANC mode. It makes quite a difference to your listening experience.

Freebuds 3i are comfortable and easy to use. They connect quickly and reliably and are not heavy. Overall, the sound isolation is good and better than that of the Freebuds 3. The gesture controls are reliable and work well. Now that you know what to expect from the Freebuds 3i from Huawei, go ahead and check them out. They won’t disappoint!
